Minimalist living room in a small apartment can decorate a real challenge. You barely enough storage space, and making the rooms are spacious look is a difficult task. Even if you have a small apartment, you seem twice as large with a few simple tricks. This article lists some simple ideas for making your small apartment look bright and spacious.

When decorating small rooms, always clutter to a minimum. Display only a few brightly colored accents and accessories to add depth and interest. In the living room, a large vase of fresh flowers, a large candle and a single print or painting on a wall are all you need to add color while the area open and spacious.

Apartment kitchens can be so small that only one person can be in the room at a time. Keep counters off by placing small appliances, bread, chips, dishes and other items in cabinets or the pantry, if one is available cleaned.

Furnish the room sparingly

In a small apartment, all that is needed in the living room sofa, chair and coffee table. You might want a small bookshelf in a corner to keep books and journals with a small lamp on top. Keep furniture against the wall so the floor space in the middle of the room is wide open and easy to walk through. A brightly colored accents in this area rug adds texture and additional color.

The bedroom may be small, and, the latter with a twin or full size bed, a nightstand and dresser. Keep clutter to a minimum in this room as well, and add color with large wall hangings.

Allow plenty of natural light

Each room looks larger when it is filled with natural light. Most apartments are furnished with mini-blinds, but if you want to make the space appear larger, there is a simple trick that really makes windows appear larger. Hang a curtain rod which is about twice the width of the window, use light or brightly colored reeds pulled back on both sides. You can hang the rod near the ceiling to the impression of a large window to give too.

During your apartment, use furniture that are light colored to the rooms look bigger. Dark colors make a room areas, lighter shades to enhance visual space. Consider the light sand, pastel peach, butter yellow and other bright shades for upholstery, accent rugs and curtains. You can add splashes of color with accent pillows and rugs.

For additional storage and clutter away to look for plastic bins that can be used under the bed, hold or purchase a coffee table in the living room that contains drawers underneath. This way you keep all those items that you do not often use and stored out of sight until you need them.
